Account deletion

Delete your account and your data

If you never opened an account, we hold no data of yours; everything is on your device. If you did, you can delete it in the app or by e-mail. Deletion can't be undone.

The easiest way

Delete in the app

Available on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and Android TV. You are already signed in, so no code is needed.

Profile › Delete account…

  1. Open the Account tab (Profile on Android TV).
  2. Choose Delete account…. It lists exactly what will be deleted.
  3. Confirm with Permanently delete my account.

Delete by e-mail

If you can't reach the app, e-mail help@sottoiptv.com from your account's address with the subject “Account deletion”. We delete your account and all your data on our server; that account can't sign in again.

What is deleted, what stays

Deleted from our server

The moment you confirm, for good

  • Your account and its sign-in links
  • Synced sources and their encrypted envelopes
  • Favourites and resume positions
  • Hidden channels and settings
  • Device list and open sessions
  • Your Premium record

Stays on your devices

Deletion doesn't affect it

  • Your sources and the passwords in the device's secure store
  • Your channel list and search index
  • Favourites and resume positions on the device
  • The app itself (it works without an account)

To remove those too, delete the source in the app or uninstall the app. Your other devices are signed out; the copy on them stays. To delete one source from the server, deleting it in the app is enough; its encrypted envelope goes in the same step.

When it is deleted

  1. The moment you confirmYour account and all its rows on our server are deleted. Every device is signed out.
  2. Within 14 daysIt leaves the encrypted nightly backups too. After that, no copy remains.

A deleted account can't be brought back. You can open a new account later; your old favourites and sources won't come with it.
