1What Sotto does and does not do

Sotto IPTV Player is a player. It offers no channels, films or stream lists, hosts no streams and sells no streaming subscription. Streams do not pass through our servers; they flow between the source the user added and the user's own device.

If a user opens an account and turns sync on, the definition of the source they added (the address, the username and the password) is kept encrypted on our server. The key lives in the server's environment; this is not end-to-end encryption and the service can read that record. The detail is on the privacy page. So we do not host the stream, but for accounts with sync on we do hold the source address.

2What your report should contain

ItemWhat to write
Who you areName, organisation if any, e-mail address, and whether you write on behalf of the rights holder
Which workThe name of the channel, film, series or stream, and what shows the right is yours
Where you saw itWhich screen or list in the app; the plain address if there is one, a screenshot, the date and time
Reason and statementA short reason, and two sentences stating that you report in good faith and that the information is accurate. Your e-mail signature is enough.

An address and a screenshot are enough as evidence. Do not send passwords: we want neither yours nor any user's.

3What we can do

CaseWhat we do
An entry in the demo listThis is the only list in the app that we chose. On a well-founded report we remove the entry.
A source definition stored for an accountWe can delete that record and suspend the account under sections 2 and 3 of the terms.
A stream we do not hostWe cannot shut it down; the provider, the host and the domain are not ours. We tell you the right addressee as far as we know it.
A request for user dataWe share it only on a legally valid request. A report on its own is not enough.

4After a report

  1. You get a written reply within five business days at the latest. If the report is incomplete, we say what is missing within the same period.
  2. If the report concerns a user's account, we tell the user and give them the right to respond. We state the decision in writing to both sides.

Abuse other than copyright (putting automated load on the server, selling accounts, fraud) goes to the same address.

Next Account deletion What deletion removes, what stays on your device, and how to do it. Back to top

Sotto IPTV Player is a player; it provides no content, hosts no streams and sells no stream subscriptions.

You are responsible for making sure the source you add is lawful.
